Honor our Veterans

They don’t wake up to the comfort of their beds but instead to small bunks They don’t wake to the sizzling sounds of eggs on the frying pan but instead to the sound of bullet ricocheting off objects They don’t wake up to their child’s faces but instead to those that may not have parents They don’t wake up to see there friends but instead to finding that their friend has died They don’t wake up to take a walk in the park but instead to march through harsh terrain to save lives and protect us back home

Honoring the people who fight for our country is extremely important, and by reading a poem like this, more people can educate themselves about doing so. Wonderful poem! Keep writing, and check out "poetry writing tips" in the "resources" section!
