Honour

Honour;

The act of knowing

And doing

What is morally right.

That isn't hard,

Right?

I mean,

It's clearly right

To rob your child

Of all the oxygen they inhaled

In less than five minutes

Because they fell in love.

I'm going to leave those words there,

For anyone who still believes

That killing in the name of "honour" makes sense.

Because the words above

Do not make sense.

The action

Does not make sense.

You don't have to listen to me.

But killing your child,

Or absorbing my words;

Which one would be the wiser choice?

Hey guys! Just a creative spoken word artist trying to get her degree and writing pieces along the way. Promise that rhyme wasn't intended (or was it?)
