Hooves
The soft underbelly of newborn crustaceans
was it?
Or the impressionable innards of seaside mollusks
how about?
Skittering horseshoe crabs navigating the shoreline
again.
A blacksmith hammering under the flickering firelight
closer.
Worn metal and flesh galloping above packed soil
neigh!
