Hop Squatch
A simple grey sack, carrying simple brown beans
Tossed aside as no magic could yet be seen.
Along came a heavy rumble and quite a monstrous shake
“Oh my goodness are we having an earthquake?”
Much to the disbelief of all but Jack,
A large stalk now grew where once there was a shack!
Many gathered and wondered what could it be….
What is this thing that is taller than any tree?
It is scaping the clouds and pushing them aside-
It could not be figured out, by anyone who tried.
Suited up with hopes and fears and wonder,
Jack set off to find what was causing the thunder.
He climbed and climbed for what seemed like days-
Resting on over-sized thorns, the top nowhere in his gaze.
At last, he finally sees the top and climbs up over the edge.
What a hairy thing he sees that has him scurrying for the ledge.
A game of jumping from one square to another,
Each one racing to out do the other!
Bigfoot is no legend, they are right before his eyes-
What a sight to be seen, no one will believe this surprise!
For in all the world no eyes have ever had such a peek,
At the reigning champion of the longest match of hide and seek!
