Hope

When joy runs from me and all I see is darkness

There's something that I'm finding always holds onto me

Sorrows and pain frequent me often and despairing of life is common

Though I'm brought down past the point of my own strength I have a friend

She never fails me and never gives up

Sometimes she is the only thing that is clear to me

She reminds me that darkness makes the light so much sweeter

Hope lets me understand that there's too much to care about

Hope tells me that life is always worth living
