Hope

She walks down the hall

With her eyes on the ground,

Her heart filled with stones

No hope ever found.

He sees the tears

That everyone holds back;

The water that blends

All color into black.

We walk the paths before us

Fear beating in our hearts,

Fear of the unknown,

And fears of the dark.

If only some light were shone upon each face;

A symbol of something better,

A sign of some needed grace.

If only light were clear,

On the most dark and mundane days.

The world would be a better place,

Enlightened by hope in many ways.
