Hope

This is what the front line is like

A line where all have stood at points in life

A trial of tears, stress and pain

Deception is an ugly site

There is some sort of delight

A small beam of hope in the dark disarray

The only thing to keep me sane

A glow so far away, shines so bright

Short, simple and to the point. Not many things rival poems such as these. I do want to point out the last word in your poem "cite," I believe you meant "site," Quick fix though, nothing too much of a hassle. I would love to see where else you can go with this piece, in giving more depth to the issues or themes you are putting in here. A short poem is amazing but perhaps another stanza (so that it doesn't make it much longer) will help with that- just my own opinion.

Thank you for sharing this,
Rebecca
