Hope

Hope. A single word, four letters, one syllable. You can say that hope is wanting something to happen. You can say that hope is the belief that circumstances in the future will be better than they are today. But how could you believe that? In an era of bombings, shootouts, pain, sorrow, rape, hunger, and death? Is hope just a myth, a figment of an ancient Greek's imagination, an irrelevant idea long forgotten in the abyss of Pandora's box. No. Life - life is a miracle. We've been given this gift not to dwell on the evil and treacherous but to appreciate the holy and good. Hope - is inneffable. But without it we are nothing.
