Hope
What a dangerous thing.
Feelings arise,
Scenarios run through the mind,
It builds and builds and builds.
Until...
Someone crushes it.
New feelings arise....
Disappointment
Anger
Pain.
Pain is only caused by hope.
If hope wasn't present,
Nothing would have been expected.
Nothing would hurt.
But...
When hope isn't crushed,
It grows incessantly.
More thoughts occur,
Paranoia takes control
To ensure the things hoped for.
Now...
If things hoped for come true,
They are never as good
As the mind created them to be.
So,
Hope.
What a dangerous thing.
