Hope

It’s not something I want, it’s something I need

It’s something that fulfills my every wishful deed

It courses through my heart, my blood, my veins

It’s given me life, and made me forget the stains

I have ghosts, and I have regrets

But without it, I’m forever bound by threats

To myself, from others, I antagonize me

Without hope to look for the future, no one is free
