hope

in the deep

in the black

when it seems

you can’t go back

there’s a voice

in your chest

that says

“we will never rest

till you’re safe

back at home

not in the

darkness all alone”

and although

it may feel

like the future’s

going to kill

you’ll press on

holding fast

know the darkness

will not last

there is hope

stay afloat

and to safety

row your boat

we will keep

hope alive

and we will

never die

if you stand

take my hand

watch our future

expand

horizon’s broad

look to me

and we’ll never

have to flee

i promise.
