Hope

How crazed and lonely I feel when it’s not around,

When I look beside me and it’s not to be found.

Though it is pointless to seek through touch, sight or sound,

I know it is here when my focus is heaven-bound.

I can’t live without it- well, no one can, you see.

My God, my Rock, my Savior, the One who rescued me,

Has given me this thing that without it, I can’t breathe.

Oh joy to my soul, it is Hope I need!
