Hope

I do not need books,

or movies,

or my favorite foods.

I can survive with

no family around me,

no boyfriend by my side.

My heart will fly,

as long as I live,

but only with Hope,

I will fall.

To know that this island,

is but my friend,

and the world is not dead.

I will live.

To smile to the sea,

and bask in the sun,

the Hope fills me.

To live without Hope,

is to live empty.

I will live.

I choose to live.
