Hope

How does one find light after darkness? The tightening, painful grip of injustice? How does a man who has gained so little, lose so much? To break free of the chains of blindness To overcome the unending coldness of prejudice. How can one who has never loved, feel the burning of its touch? Hope. The illuminating The righteous The fulfilling Hope; which makes the slaves feel like the masters. Hope; Which keeps the despised warm at night. Hope; Which keeps the lonely from ever feeling the icy pain of nothingness. With it, there is no pain Without it, there is only pain.
