Hope

The only word we want and hate. A word that can make hearts awake and break.  Hope.  And we take the saying that sticks and stones may break my bones but words would never hurt me, knowing that sticks and stones do break bones but words break the hearts filled with hope, that we can't live without.  Hope. And we are allowed to hope and not breathe.  Breathe and not see.  Hope.  Hope that we can have happiness and overcome fear, get over the past and hold what's dear.  Have some faith in the world and set it straight because we just don't know if this is our last day.  Hope.  The sadness in our eyes becomes screams and cries of those words “no one loves me” and “I just want to die”.  The words that mend and bend our hearts and minds to sending messages to our body saying to do it.  To make our wrists bleed.  To make our eyes see our imperfection.  But correction.  Being imperfect is worth it and God, or Allah or anyone who’s above.  Can say to dub you worthy.  Worthy to be the modern day king and queens we are destined to be because destiny and fear are two different realities.  They intertwine and unwind as time slows.  But as we all know, we don't know what's down the rabbit hole.  Maybe it's hope or a lifetime of mopeing around and being called a lameo, because you didn't hope for change.   Hope for things to go your way.  Hope that you life would be happy and ok.  And we hope we can make it through our day to day.  Hope. Hope we can save our own day.
