Hope

I am from hope,

From completely preposterous, to entirely understated...

I am from where giving up does not exist,

I am from where the words pertaining to “lose, quit, and surrender” are extinct.

I am from a city where anything is possible,

From a family who stands their ground.

From friendships that are worth fighting for...

I am from where second chances matter.

I am from where it does not matter what negativity in life launches.

I am from where the past is the past and a new day is a new start.

From self-respect and self-dignity,

I am from where the most challenges in life we face, are our biggest lessons.

I am from where anything and everything can be conquered as long as we put our minds to it.
