Hope

I wake up unsure of the day,

wishing it goes well.,

but with my luck, its hard to tell,

with a smile on my face,

my heart beats at a fast pace,

I try to hold back the tears,

I feel my eyes soon begin to clear,

sometimes I feel so alone,

like I’m weak,  from my skin to my bones,

I continue on a single lane,

trying to hide all my pain,

hope is the only thing I gain.

Hope is what keeps me going,

it keeps my blood flowing,

it helps keep my head held high,

even though one day I’ll die.

With one deep breath, I clear my mind,

my happiness is what I’ll find.

I may be lost and breaking now,

but to find hope is my vow.

I’m always told to stay strong,

but this war has been going on for so long.

I think it’s time to let go,

and this is something i must know.

I’m almost done fighting,

I’m for sure done hiding.

but, will I give up? Nope.

I just need a little more hope.
