Hope

Through the darkness of thought sometimes it’s hard to cope

Poetry is a source of freedom, it keeps you afloat

A place where you can put your ideas into words and dreams awoke

You learn that poetry is more than words, written or spoke

Though this cruel world may knock us down

Poetry is here to give us hope
