Hope

Rain splashed my face as I looked to the sky rain drenched my hair as I asked why why now of all times Lord, why this why now of all times when I most need my bliss when I most need a smile I just get a frown when I need to be lifted I just get pushed down when I think life's good I find out it's not when I've just found my page I suddenly lose my spot when I want to feel pain I find out I can't when I just want to cry I simply can't Lord, give me direction please, clear my sky and Lord, if you don't at least let me cry! Lord, give me a rainbow please, take the clouds away give me a rainbow or a sunny day give me a sunset of glorious pink please give me a sunset before my hopes sink. Rain splashed my face mingling with tears as my kind Savior washed away my fears in the distance I saw the sun begin to shine and with it, a hope He gave to be mine once again I looked and I could see a rainbow, I knew He placed there for me on the horizon the clouds cleard away and I saw a sight that made my heart pray the sky turned to a brilliant pink before the sun could slowly sink. But Quickly I saw the bright colors fade as they all did what thier Lord bade slowly the world grew silent and dark from east to west the diference was stark I wondered if I could survive the next night it seemed so dark so void of light I felt, once again tears sting my eyes the tears broke loose dispite all my tries Lord! I cried, not again! I've been through all this before! Shhh, my daughter, came a small voice just look up once more there in the east was a small little light seeming so far yet growing so bright I looked even closer I saw the bright moon and wonderd if the stars would come soon but I knew that the moon shining so bright was a sign that He'd be with me both day and night
