hope

i plant flowers in my head

let the roots seep down into

the mean and the ugly

i believe,

the plants will win the battle.

i stick the dirt into my fingernails and soak it in my scalp

water me

and perhaps i’ll grow a new world.

I am a sophomore in college with a creative writing major with a marketing minor. I am heavily inspired by my journey of self love, my mental illness, the environment, nature, and other poets such as, Shakespeare, Sylvia Plath, Rupri Kaur, William Wordsworth, and many others.
