Hope

What inspires me most?

What pushes me awake?

What force drives me out of dark and into day?

What could it be that makes me strong?

When breathing feels like nothing more than drowning,

When moving feels like nothing more than falling,

When life feels like nothing more than time passing,

It is Hope that inspires me.

I am inspired when I have Hope,

But it is Hope which inspires me

The very essence of Hope is to find a silver lining,

To seek a resolution in a situation so bleak,

To prove that you will not lose, held back as you may be

An emotion so pure, so good and so undoubtedly human

Inspires me to push forward.

To keep breathing

To keep moving

To keep living.
