Hope

Darkness surrounds me

My limbs are heavy and numb,

while my brain is clouded.

I am too tired to go any further

Every day the infinite abyss,

gets wider,

deeper,

blacker.

It is so hard to stand and walk

To live and breathe

But I go on.

Because I love.

Because in the distance I see that small pinprick of light and happiness.

I go on because hope is built into my DNA

Because you are waiting for me.

Because you are my tomorrow.
