hope

they say

hope has

feathers

maybe

that’s how

it was able

to leave me

in a dark room

with no doors

and one window

I can see

how life

leaves me

behind

I see my friends

living their lives

without me

it pains me

to think

that I will

never get better

living my life

as nothing

losing my dreams

is my

nightmare

hope makes you feel like you can do anything, even fly.

The friends that leave you behind are not your friends. But I wonder how does hope have feathers?
