Hope

In a world of violence and hatred, One may see it pointless to try and be: Happy or joyful; jolly or blessed; A person who lives insouciantly. Prejudice opinions cloud the judgment Of those who are influenced by the rest, Believing they are right, fixed and hell-bent. Unable to express, feeling suppressed, But there is a sliver of hope my friend. For I am here and we are here; we both Stand tall and face the people who pretend To be ideal and stray you off your path. No worries my friend, remember to smile, For it can cleanse someone who once was vile.
