Hope is an Anchor

A year went by of friendship, but you didn't give up hoping for more.

You relentlessly pursued me with intent, not looking for just another score.

Months went by without speaking, yet our hearts drew closer and closer.

In May, our friendship bloomed, and the year turned into a blur.

Hope is an anchor that never fades away.

Hope is an anchor that never fades away.

The old adage is true: distance makes the heart grow fonder.

Friendship in relationship keeps it growing in awe and wonder.

There are still heated discussions, but love conquers it all.

He says, "You're right," even when I'm not causes me to bawl.

Hope is an anchor that never fades away.

Hope is an anchor that never fades away.
