Hope. Desire. Desperation.

I look at you

You don't even see me

I say Hi

There is a slight change in your expression

You don't engage

I've forgiven you for hurting me

I've given you a second chance

What more could you want

What more can I give

I dream of what we could have been

I dream of those special moments

I cry tears because I can

I cry tears because there's nothing else to do

I desire a love so deep that its roots never end

I desire a road with no bends

I can only sit back and watch

Hoping things will turn up a notch

But it's all left in the dust

Because you don't know what you lust
