Hope for the Future

Who am I? And who will I be? I know I have time, but my skin gnaws at my bones constantly for not knowing my truth. I thought I knew it, but somehow I keep losing my way. I’ll be honest with you, though my words can be perceived as deranged.

I am the best that I can be. I am a young black trans man who longs to be free. But believe me, those activists who stand for me are not what they seem. Everybody’s an activist when it comes to gain, but nobody’s an activist when it’s time to change. I am that fire that will continue to burn while all embers die out, so I hope you learn.

I am a force to be reckoned with, I am the Young King, I will never be a close second. I will remain on top as long as I live, so don’t cross me unless you have the dignity to give.

I am a writer, the rhapsodist of fables, once I show you who I am, don’t question what I bring to the table, because I am a light that will truly shine. You may not know your truth yet, but I know mine. So take heed for what’s to come, the marathon continues, but I’ve already won.
