Hope Holds True

Why do you fear

To know their hearts?

And what you are to them?

What do they see as true?

Whenever they look at you

Why won’t you talk?

What should you say?

Too often you think and yet

When you speak you can’t help but fear

That a mistake is what they'll hear

Why do you hide

And still neglect

What you think you want

A glance, a word, a touch

Is it really all too much?

And yet you know

Despite it all

The strength to hope holds true

Change is slow but even so

The littlest things will let you know

For that, you smile

A smile within

For friends and family felt

The hope you’re always shone

And you will never be alone

With that in mind

Courage returns

And doubt and fear turn friend once more

Now you find the strength to fight once more

Now you see a life worth fighting for
