The hope I now have

I never understood why

It might be all in my head

I never wanted hope,

Never want to be let down

But for some reason I want hope

I need it.

In my head everything is pounding

Telling me one thing but I want another

Hope is just another four letter word

It means so little yet feels so strong

One of these days I'll understand, I was told

Thanks to you,

Today's that day.

Thanks to you,

You gave me the hope I now have....
