Hope Less

I try to ignore what could have been.
Playing a game that I just can't win.
Picking a lock that I can't open.
Where the path not taken is held within.

But the path of regret is where I walk.
Where the wrath of the memories of the past is wrought.
And a bath in the rain of renewal is sought.
But in this hopeless land, no rain is brought.
