Hope Remains

Doubt envelops my surroundings

The air is squeezed from my lungs

All hope seems lost

But never gone

There is still a glimmer of hope left within me

Before I’m released into oblivion

Where no one can save me

I reach out to the sparkling entity in the distance

And it too combats for my existence

The battle between

Doubt and hope

The war rages on

Hope vanquishes the doubt

It is something that will forever cling to my being

And never leave

Hope is something I can’t live without

 Be hope and stay

Be strength and never leave

Be the voice that tells you, you can make it

 Through those cold, treacherous nights

 Though the dark cavernous days

Be the hope that makes a change

The hope I can’t live without
