Hope the Rope

What is hope
but an endless rope
not the one meant to choke
but the kind that acts like a periscope
so that maybe amidst the chaos it will help you see what’s above
So that one day we can see where the rope goes
and when we do that, we know we’re close
close to the one who threw it down
it dangles only just above us
we just have to grab it
So reach.
