Hope of Spring

The moon gazes across the trees

Birds shriek with the wind

The stream winds amongst the trees

The pines spear through the air

New trees grow

The apple tree promises spring

With so many blossoms on the bough

Foxes once again seek their age-old mates

Squirrels dance around the trees,

The stubborn ice has dripped away

Leaves come again,

Spring is here.
