Hopeful Hopelessness

Face down on the beach I breathe in sand from fallen dreams Towers I had built of things I had hoped to achieve Things I once believed. Hopeless as they come, I cannot see the sun Through the Shifting clouds of the sea Look at what I've done I wish now I'd never begun Now there are many things I can never be.
