The Hopeful Thief

Soft hammering from somewhere inside

As you can see theres nothing to hide

Read me like an open book

To discover what things you took

Interrogate me from within my head

Manipulate me from something simple you said

I am under your full control

My devotion is unquestionable as you know

Why question whats known

It down on paper

The words you wrote

I agree with you beliefs

But also I am the hopful thief

I agree with all the things you say

But I'd rather wish and hope and pray

Pray that one day the world will be joyous

Kindness will be a policy

And generosity a rule

I believe everything you say

But is there anything wrong with wanting

The best world
