Hopeless
HOPELESS
I am 15
Mixed.
Strong but weak.
Black and white.
Raised by white
loved by some,
and rejected by most.
I don't know how to fit in
But somehow I do.
I just lost a friend.
You notice me.
You say hay.
I say nothing.
But don't know me.
I'm going to be fine.
You don't know my pain.
If you don't recognize this of me?
Well, you don't know me.
I'm taking off my mask now.
Without hesitation.
Before you are racist
I will show you the real pain
You see in our faces.
And I've already been through a lot.
I have no real daddy.
Just scars.
They dropped me in a foster home.
I was abused.
They left me to starve.
alone.
There was no hope for me.
Watch my foster brother get shot
when I was just the age of 3.
My mama got raped by 4 guys
I saw it with my young eyes.
No more tears left to cry.
I'm trying to survive.
I wish I could erase it
From my mind
And live a normal life.
But no.
I wish God made me twice
But he didn't.
I wish I could be somebody different
But I can't.
There was no hope for me.
There never was.
Nope.
No.
This is a scar.
I have to carry that around with me.
Everywhere I go,
It follows me.
Everything I do,
It is an influence.
That's why I have no friends.
It scares them.
To have a friend
That is messed up
Or think different than them.
Do you want to
Have a friend
With ugly scars on their skin?i
also cant forget about my mental illness
nether can people tho.
I wonder why I'm even breathing.
Mabe God made me this way
For a good reason.
Even the way I've been beaten,
Or when my back was bleeding,
Or how gloomy this story is my seeming,
Maybe he created me the
The way he wanted me to be.
But I will never be free
From this heartache that
Is burning inside me.
This is me
and this isn't the ending.
