Hopeless Love

Hopeless love,

Like rats through a maze.

Nothing will stop me from reaching your face,

My feet drenched in blood, I walked along the blade

Blindly after you, stuck in the sickness my ways.

I wouldn’t turn back now, I left so much behind,

A captive to my own emotions- I refused to believe I could live a life without you.

Stride after stride I race along this bloody knife,

I slipped away and lost my place,

and fell into the empty space

That kept us separated.

I saw you there, for a moment,

Then you began to fade away.

I would live this dream forever,

And never have to be awake…

Nothing will stop me from reaching your face.
