Hopeless Wanderer

Our lives and our souls are not bound Simply by a three dimensional, earthly existence There is a world where we can be free But it is within that world that we have trapped ourselves There is a timid motion of a fragile heart Trying to beat away its pain Which is hidden at night, Wrapped under the darkness. We find comfort in the stars and the quiet opacity And it is then and there that we make these decisions The decisions which will determine our course A course which is unforeseeable and unknown I find reassurance in the souls of people Whose minds wander just as freely under the night sky as mine It is the night sky that witnesses us make these choices Filled with awe and wonder at the magnitude of space and depth The magnitude of our very existence
