Hopelessly Crazy

You are a tear in my heart to quote a great band

I contemplate this with my feet in the sand

I once told you I'd write your name in the stars

Now I just drink in empty bars

I'm in pain every day

In this light though I feel OK

Is this real I can't tell

Am I just under a spell

To and fro the wind takes me

I always come back to my light you see

It makes me happy it makes me sane

Why does this constantly pick my brain

I beg please give me a sign

I can't be trapped in this limbo of mine

I'm moving toward this bright beautiful light

Just to watch it pulled from my sight

It starts to leave

So I chase it trying not to grieve

Once I catch back up I can no longer have it

But I choose to stay close out of habit

Maybe I've read it wrong

Maybe it will shift to a new song

I have my ways to cope

Call me crazy but I still have hope
