The Horizon

We all stare in wonder and awe,
At the beauty of the landscape before us.
Its breathtaking view so captvating,
If put to song, would be the hallelujah chorus.

Gazing, so wondrously,
We admire the work of Heaven's touch,
But when the skies turn dark and grey,
We lose our opinions of admiration, beauty, and such.

But really, is there any difference,
Between a sunny day and rain?
Is it not the same landscape?
Or is it that our judgement is vain?

We see what it is that we want to see,
Only as far as our minds are willing to go.
This is why we know so little;
We cannot see the potential that is trying to show.

So while we are shunning the landscape for its times of hardship,
We are being blinded,
From what is what will be a great accomplishment.

In these times of need,
Of storms and shortcomings,
The scene is being watered and nurtured,
And an even more gorgeous flower is blossoming.

When you look out into the horizon,
Limit yourself not by what you see,
For it may come to pass,
That what you see, is not all that lies in wait, to be.
