Hormones

Purge these temptations,

Lest they cloud my judgement.

Not the old testament,

That’s for sure

But I see the point.

Why do these demons push me

To say stupid things

Perhaps a lesson in humility

Or my cells aching to duplicate

Probably both

It’s aways she, she, she

Bioengineered attraction

Not like "that", far from it, but

Sometimes I really hate this.

A means

To a lonely end

All we are when we cocoon in sheets

They call life a miracle

But could a tragedy really be devine?

The people who live lives

Of relentless anguish

Where do they fit into

The puzzle

I know my convoluted neurons are

overthinking things,

As one does, but

Still I try to ground myself, and not think to hard

About undertakings

That remain an enigma.

The model socrates, just more selfish

Scary that we don’t

Know anything

At all
