Horns

I hid from the truth of who I really was-

Prayed to God every day and night, asked him just to simply-

Fix me.

Days become darker and nights become longer, I knew if I hid me from the world-

I wouldn’t have to hear what they had to say.

I covered my trail of sins with women who I claimed to have loved-

But that wasn’t the truth.

I tired of the lies, the fake smiles, the pseudo-people and I broke.

My fan belt had broken and everybody had to know.

My fear still persists,

Even though I say I overcame it.

In this game, the fear never ends, just the people in it do,

But now this time, I will charge like a bull,

Fearless.
