Horrible Little Tendency

I have this little tendency,

this horrible little tendency.

You see I tear myself down.

I critique and judge and generally hate myself.

I have this little tendency,

this horrible little tendency.

You see I doubt myself.

I tell myself I can't and so I don't.

I have this little tendency,

this horrible little tendency.

You see I give very good advice,

but very seldom take it.

I have this little tendency,

this horrible little tendency.

You see I really don't like myself,

so I act like someone else.

I have this little tendency,

this horrible little tendency.

You see I'm not who I seem,

I'm merely wearing a mask.
