Horrible Thoughts of Night

What horrible thoughts this night does bring While joy is what I'm seeking I do not wish to hear birds sing Nor see the sun a-peeking Let the night live on and on Until these thoughts do pass Then the sun may lay upon The newborn dewy grass Attempts to soothe these sleepy eyes What horrors shall I see? Dreams will blur, I do concur A nightmare soon to be To rid of these cognition To fight against these woes I use a writer's intuition My sword will be my prose
