In the Hospital

   She looks so sunken in,

She isn't able to walk, or get out of the hospital.

She sleeps all day. Will I ever catch a break?

The stars, long ago, have collapsed from my sky,

They can't grant me wishes now.

The hurt keeps dragging like heavy, dismal storm clouds.

The sadness arrives in waves of pain.

Tears always cascade like tropical waterfalls,

Hugs are no real sense of consolation.

Drifting in the crowded, loud halls in deep distress,

Likewise, no one can ever save me...
