Hot Water

The hot water pulling every problem out The hot water washing away all the wrongs The hot water bringing up old memories The hot water burns. The heat of the water reminds me of pain. The pain of deceit. Regret. Failure. This pain that will never heal, This pain will always be after me Like a shadow that I cannot find. I look around hoping that the next shower Will not draw out such regret, pain Failure. Every shower brings about pain.
