The Hotel
The same movie echoes in three different rooms.
It hurts my head.
The fights exhaust me.
It’s every night now.
The drinking, the cussing, the crying.
It’s killing me.
I lock myself in my room.
It doesn’t help.
I live in a hotel that I can’t ever leave.
It’s not a home.
It never was and never will be.
The same movie echoes in three different rooms.
The sound on my television is turned all the way up to hide the sound of my sobs.
