Hotel California
Riding down the freeway
with no destination.
My feet are dancing outside the window as
Hotel California plays on the radio
We watch the sun and moon
play hide and seek with each other
around this new city we’ve never been to.
Traveling to a new and
unpredictable place at our leisure
with no one to tell us not to.
Feeling warmth
from the air in my lungs
and from the person driving next to me.
