Hourglass
You are but the sand
In an old hourglass.
The glass are my hands
So fragile and thin.
Every second you slip
To the bottom of my heart.
But I am old and worn,
So the bottom falls off.
As you slip through my fingers
For the very last time,
I wonder-
What use is an hourglass
Without any sand?
