The House

What do you do

in this house that you hate?

Ignore the problems,

try to clean the slate?

Well the marks are deep

some can’t be erased.

No matter how hard you try,

you won’t see eye to eye.

Try to get past it

still the scars won’t fade.

Just what do you do

in this house full of hate.

Lost all respect.

Just about nothing left.

Just what do you do

in this house that you hate?

Write who you knew

in this house full of hate

Craft the words

used to commemorate.

Like a lucid dream,

use some chalk

on that slate.

Write to escape

the house that you hate.
